Join Quaboag Hills Community Coalition in Making a Difference

Dear Friend of Quaboag Hills Community Coalition:

The Quaboag Hills Community Coalition (QHCC) was established in 2014 to address the needs of people in our historically overlooked, under-resourced area at the nexus of Worcester, Hampden, and Hampshire Counties. Our mission is to promote the health, education, and welfare of residents in the 15 towns that comprise the Quaboag Hills region of Massachusetts. For example, we partnered with the Foodbank of Western Mass and the Town of Ware during the pandemic to move the mobile food pantry to a new location that allowed food security assistance while following COVID safety measures. The Quaboag Connector, which we helped to establish in 2017, is a lifeline service addressing key transportation needs. The Quaboag Hills Substance Use Alliance, which began as a program under the auspices of our coalition, focuses on prevention and treatment.

Currently, our Seeds of Hope program provides wrap-around care and stipends for EMT training for rural youth ages 17-24 who are not going to college and who need to begin economic independence. Through another program, we connect low-income residents who need assistance with an emergency expense with resources to prevent a domino effect of crises. Last but not least, our Resource Hub offers opportunities for collaboration, connection, and information sharing that help people find the resources they need to live a better life. Our coalition’s key priorities this year include housing and access to health care.
